Monday, February 2nd, 2009First blg- yay me! I’m trying get into shape. I love working out. I don’t have to be convinced that I belong on iron side of things. I know lots of girls who say they feel like a guy if they lift weights but to me it makes me feel more feminine- okay well after I take a shower.
After a 5 week break I’m back. Last week my goals were to just get back in the gym and do cardio. I did the treadmill for 30 min 2x and Hiit on Saturday. Before anyone says drop the cardio and focus on the weights that is part of this week’s goal.
Ongoing goals: drink 80-160+oz of H20 daily & eat 5-6x a day, blg 2+x a week.
This week’s goals: Switch to 5:30 am workouts, get a baseline for my weights, workout fullbody 3x and 2 cardio days(HIIT on Saturday), set up a routine with an emphasis on arms and shoulders, get suggestions for my 1st meal which is consumed at 5 am and is less than 30 min before my w/o, stick with my eating plan. Get to1 gal of h20 at least 2x.
Today the workout went really well. Early morning is not a problem because I’m a morning person.

incline leg press-1set @ 115 or 230, 2 sets @270. I’m not sure how to express this

skull crushers-3 sets of 12
jump rope on Bosu 5 min
stretch 10 min
Sets are paired- supersetted?- with a 30 second recovery between sets except leg press which I allow 1 min recovery between sets
Things which present a challenge – injury to left shoulder, can’t lift straight up, pulled right hamstring from the summer, (It is still very tight and I have a hard time stretching it), impatient to see results, sugar cravings at least once a month, forgetting to eat until afternoon, on a budget plus I am naturally frugal. 1st blog done.
